Girly Girls

So my girls are officially growing up and totally girly. I love the girly part but not the growing up. Isabella informed me last night that some of her dresses are a little babyish and she can't wear them now that she is big. Oh no...... A 4 year old that knows what she wants. As you can tell from the picture above she also gets what she wants. I think she is enjoying this manicure and pedicure a little too much. Three people working on her. WHAT? No wonder she thinks she is a prima ballerina.

Marshall's 1st Hero

It always interests me to find out who people look up to and call heros and why. For Marshall the first real life person (besides Michael Jordan) was his cousin, Thomas Flynn.

Looking back through the years we did not spend a huge amount of time with the Flynn's. But when we were there the whole family made us feel loved, special and excited that we were there. Thomas would include Marshall in whatever he was doing, IE: skateboarding, climbing trees, playing the saxophone, drums, guitar, piano, slip and slide. And some he was not doing like licking bricks to check to see what flavors they were. It was those moments that Marshall remembers to this day that made Thomas his first hero.

So, this last week we were able to go see Thomas sing one of his gigs. We had soooo much fun. But the best part for me, was watching Marshall watch Thomas with such adoration and pride, all the while singing every word of each of Thomas's songs.

Thanks Thomas for looking out for Marshall.......

Trailer Park Trash

We are officially trailer park trash. hahaha. This last month Rob put an old shipping container on our land. (I call it land because I am not sure what we are calling it. One day it was "the farm",  then it was "the ranch" and now I am hearing "the deer camp". I like "R & A Ranch".)

Now, not only is this thing/building UGLY it is a site to see now. Yep you guessed it, the artwork is courtesy of Rob, Marshall, Victoria, Isabella, Adam, Glade and Garrett. (i hope that is everyone)
However, it will be nice to have a bed and air conditioner instead of a tent.

Wedding fun

OK, so there is so much excitement around our house because of the 2 upcoming weddings. My nephew, Lil Glade, is getting married in the Dallas Temple July 18th. And then our, what do you call him, part time kid maybe???, Seth is getting married in the Nauvoo Temple, July 31st.
We are going to both and it has caused lots of questions, and lots of trying on of dresses both new and old, wedding and flower girl.
This has been quite fun and funny as you can see Isabella, Victoria and yes, Lil Glade in my dress. I know it's old school, that comes with 17 years of marriage.

Victoria is Back in the Saddle again....

Victoria has taken riding lessons on and off since she was 6 years old and going to the Rodeo last month was just too much for her. She loves horses. So it is back to lessons. She has quit all other activities in order to take riding lessons.
And let me tell you these are not easy lessons. She has to completely groom the horse first. And yes that does include scraping manure out of his hoofs and off his back (because he rolls in it). Then saddle up and ride. Then it starts over with cool down, unsaddle, spray him down, brush  him, feed and water. It makes me tired just watching. But each time we leave with her asking when she can buy her own horse. I am not ready for that so for now we will just borrow.

Hill and Bee XOXOXOXO

Today Hillary and Elizabeth left to head home. We had so much fun having them play with us for a couple of weeks. Can't you tell........
